Premiere: Listen To Kaurna Cronin's 'Passion Parade' Single

Kaurna Cronin
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

With his second studio album, 'Southern Loss', due for release in August, today Adelaide's internationally acclaimed Kaurna Cronin premieres the first single off the record, 'Passion Parade', with scenestr.

Kaurna (pronounced Gar-Nur) and his band will also tour throughout June as a prelude to the album release on 5 August. “This Australian tour is an exciting one for myself and the band, as this will be the first time sharing the tracks from the new album with the country and the people that inspired it,” Kaurna told scenestr.

'Passion Parade' tells the story of a young woman who leaves her small, regional settlement in search for a love and a life amongst a city; a city she would never fully understand, yet a city that would embrace and redefine her life.

“My main influence while writing this album ['Southern Cross'] was delivering the sense of belonging one feels to a country they were raised in, regardless of their current associations or lifestyle within that country."
