GRAMMY-nominated, North Carolina-based producer and songwriter Porter Robinson will return to Australia for a string of live dates on his ‘SMILE! :D’ tour.
Porter burst on to the music scene at 18 with a complex brand of electro-house. His 2014 debut album ‘Worlds’ was a major success, and he went on tour in 2016 across 43 dates and 4 continents. He has put on the very first Second Sky Festival, been nominated for a GRAMMY, sold more than 150,000 concert tickets with his ‘Nurture Live North American Tour’, and was the highest grossing electronic tour of 2021.
With the ‘SMILE! :D’ tour, Porter will debut a completely new live production, including a full live band – after first experimenting with the band format at his Second Sky Festival.
This worldwide tour is Porter’s biggest ever, spanning 20 countries and 5 continents.
Porter’s album ‘SMILE! :D’ leans into a poppier, guitar-driven sound. Its lead single ‘Cheerleader’ gained more than one million views on YouTube and one million streams on Spotify, in 24 hours.
