Port Fairy Folk Festival will celebrate its 48th event in 2025, with a stacked line-up of acts hitting the stage across the March long weekend.
Continuing the festival’s tradition of celebrating local artists and supporting musicians from across the country, the March long weekend will see the likes of Briscoe Sisters, Charm Of Finches, Checkerboard Lounge, David Arden, Don Walker, Flynn Gurry, Hat Fitz & Cara, Jad Pinnone, Jeff Lang, Jordie Lane, La Mauvaise Réputation, and Nick Charles sharing their talents with audiences.
Plus, there are US acts like Bonny Light Horseman, Cat Power singing the songs of Bob Dylan, and Price Edward Island-based English folk singer Lucy Farrell.
In 2025, Brian Nankervis will be back, with his popular On The Couch series. . . Plus, crowd favourites South West Victoria’s finest Find Your Voice Collective will return to sing the songs of Joe Cocker.
Iconic Australian artist Missy Higgins will be among the first-timers in the 2025 festival, along with Dean Owens & The Sinners, Hannah Aldridge, Niamh Bury and Siomha.
“We have audience members who have been coming to the Folkie since 1977! They brought their kids, and now those children have grown up and are bringing their own kids along,” Program Director Justin Rudge says. “Port Fairy Folk Festival is a beautiful and wide-spanning multi-generational audience, and the 2025 programme really celebrates this.”
