Dance music trio, Pnau, will headline at New Year's Eve at Luna Park.
The iconic venue offers a chance to get up close and personal with the fireworks on Sydney Harbour partying with Pnau, Tkay Maidza, Hook N Sling and more to be announced.
The event includes unlimited use of the Park’s, food stalls and bars located all around the Park precinct.
Following on from their massive selling summer anthem 'Chameleon', Australia's electro pop hit pioneers, Pnau announce the forthcoming global release of their long awaited fifth studio album 'Changa'. Consisting of core members Nick Littlemore, Peter Mayes and Sam Littlemore, they have developed a reputation for delivering eccentric dance tracks since their inception in 1999.
Changa will be PNAU’s first full length album since 2012's 'Good Morning To The Night', produced in collaboration with Sir Elton John and debuting at #1 in the U.K. album charts and in the Top 5 in Australia. With 'Chameleon having already scored over 25 million streams on Spotify alone, PNAU recently unveiled a new 90's rave style single 'Into The Sky' coinciding with a short & hugely successful return to headline Australian stages!
Also joining the Harbour Party 2017 line up is this year's special guest is Zimbabwe-born Tkay Maidza. Barely 20 years old, Tkay is already one of Australia’s leading hip hop artists. As one critics said of her self -titled debut album:
“TKAY is marbled with intergalactic synths, dancehall vibes and her furious flow. Lyrically, she’s got a lot to say ...”
Her music touches on hip hop, grime and trap, EDM, rap and straight up pop. The common factor is her positivity and apparently unstoppable energy. Live on stage though is where Tkay really shines. The energy that she puts into a show is unbelievable from Splendour to the Governor's Ball in New York or Charli XCX or playing for the Royals. There's no doubt Tkay is going to be a big star and every show is completely different.
Another must see is Hook N Sling aka Anthony Maniscalco who is famous for his banging EDM sets at prestigious festivals such as Pacha, Space Ibiza, Global Gathering, Future Music Festival and Stereosonicas. Then there are his multi-platinum remixes of Lana Del Ray, Calvin Harris and Kaskade and other stars. His own music is also getting high praise around the planet. Love On Me (with Galantis), has gone gold and a bunch of his tracks are featured on BBC One right now. He's walking the tightrope between full on EDM and a mainstream crossover.
