Currently at the tail end of their Australian tour supporting Pearl Jam, garage-noise rockers Pixies will return late 2025 for their own run of headline shows.
Fresh from a standalone Melbourne gig in between their Pearl Jam commitments, which we described as a set 'switching between explosive noise and infectious melodies', Pixes will perform two concerts each in Fremantle, Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne next November.The band's legendary status was long ago cemented with their first three albums: 'Come On Pilgrim' (1987), 'Surfer Rosa (1988) and 'Doolittle' (1989); Pixies most recent studio effort 'The Night The Zombies Came' was released last month.
The first night in each city will see Pixies perform their 1990 album 'Bossanova' and 1991 follow-up 'Trompe le Monde' in their entirety, with the second evening featuring a cross catalogue set and songs from 'The Night The Zombies Came'.
"G'day! We've not even played Sydney on this year's tour yet and we're announcing our return to Australia for November 2025!"
'Bossanova' features such fan favourites as 'Velouria', 'Ana', 'Is She Weird' and 'Dig For Fire'; while 'Trompe Le Monde' contains such cuts as 'U-Mass', 'Alec Eiffel', 'Planet Of Sound' and the title track.
Tickets on sale from 1pm (local time) on 26 November.
