Recently gallivanting around the country as part of The White Album Concert tour, Phil Jamieson will strip it back to just his voice, a guitar and a stage when he tours solo this summer.
The ARIA Award-winning singer-songwriter, raconteur and burgeoning showman, Jamieson will be touring his debut solo album 'Nobody Else', which the Grinspoon frontman released last year, alongside some deeper cuts from the Grinners' catalogue (alongside sharing some tales from the road/ studio).Set to tour parts of Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania, Phil will be on the road throughout January and early February. "The set list will have rearranged songs for this particular format," shares Phil.
"After the exploration that Grinspoon have done on 'Easy' and 'New Detention' [Grinspoon are touring those albums October-December 2023], I may play some deep cuts off those records.
"I'm also looking forward to road-testing some new material that I have been working on for my sophomore solo joint."
A record many years in the making, on 'Nobody Else' Phil worked alongside Holy Holy's Oscar Dawson, with additional production assistance from Davey Lane, Jordan Power and Ben Rosen.
The solo tour will also see Phil return to some of his favourite venues as well as exploring new territory. "There are venues here I have never played, there are venues here that I love.
"It'll be summer in Australia, and I am playing brand new music as well as stuff from 25 years ago. I love being solo. It's a challenging space but also super rewarding."
