Australian children’s entertainer Peter Combe is certainly a legend now.
The singer has been delighting Australian children for decades, with many homes being filled with his songs. It’s almost impossible to find a person who doesn’t know the words to his classics such as ‘Toffee Apple’, ‘Mr Clicketty Cane’, and ‘Newspaper Mama’.
Peter will be bringing those classics to Perth’s Fringe World for a series of special shows, along with songs from his recent ARIA Award-nominated album ‘Live It Up’.
Parents who’ve grown up on Peter’s music can take their children to delight in his catchy songs and zany shenanigans. Alongside his child-friendly shows, Peter has been performing late shows for adults who never quite grew up.
“It’s not even the alcohol talking, people just want to hear the songs,” Peter laughs.
Peter will perform with his backing band The Juicy Juicy Green Band, featuring his son Tom on guitar. No matter how old you are, Peter Combe has a show for fans to sing and giggle along.
