Perth DJ, Roscoe Holyoake, has been arrested in San Francisco for allegedly attempting to kidnap a 2-year-old boy.
US media reported a mother was walking with her toddler when Holyoake grabbed her son and ran away [with him]. The DJ was subsequently chased by members of the public and held until police arrived.
Holyoake is a well known Perth DJ who last week closed the Joondalup Festival. In March he played at Sydney's Mardi Gras.
His other work in the LGBTI community included past contributions as a board member on WA Pride as well as volunteer presenting on Perth's community radio RTR FM. In December he co-hosted a show 'All Things Queer' where he interviewed Commissioner for Victims of Crime, Kati Krazlan.
The 34-year-old is being held on $700,000 (Australian) bond.
