A new addition to Australia's alternative, heavy music landscape, the inaugural Knight And Day Festival will lay siege to Ballarat's Kryal Castle on the eve of New Year.
Spread across two days (30-31 December) of regal performances, Knight And Day Festival will be headlined by the crowned princes of Byron Bay Parkway Drive alongside Sydney purveyors of splendid metalcore Polaris."This is our first Australian performance in over two years, and we can't wait to get back on stage again. Finally!" proclaims Parkway Drive. Hear ye, hear ye!
Knight And Day Festival will also witness magic not seen in these parts for many moons when travelling muses Hellions perform their masterpiece 'Opera Oblivia' in full; while the honourable heroes of the scene, The Getaway Plan weave magic from 'Other Voices, Other Rooms' in its entirety.
"What a line-up for Knight And Day Festival!" beams Hellions.
A preverbal who’s who of Australia’s alternative noble folk will also be making the sojourn to the faire including Alex Lahey, Bakers Eddy, Clowns, Justice For The Damned, Make Them Suffer and The Chats.
"We are going to be playing the inaugural Knight and Day festival in Ballarat, inside a Castle! So stoked, such a sick line-up," enthuses Bakers Eddy.
Adds Justice For The Damned: "We will see you on the battlefield (literally) this year at Knight And Day Festival at Kryal Castle!"
While Trophy Eyes sum up the room perfectly: "It's good to be back!"
The medieval delights on offer at Kryal Castle will also include a mesmerising maze, medieval performances, dungeons, torture museums, knights towers, secret dragons labyrinth as well as DJs and multiple acoustic stages.
So send the ravens and rally your banner people, as now and once and for all we wish this ghastly year 'Go thy way!'.
Tickets on sale 23 September at 10am local time. More information.
