Pandemonium Rocks is confirmed as proceeding, kicking off in Melbourne in exactly two weeks.
Multiple sources have today confirmed to scenestr that Alice Cooper, Blondie, The Psychedelic Furs, Wheatus, Wolfmother, Palaye Royale and Cosmic Psychos will all play one-stage events in Melbourne, Sydney, The Gold Coast and Brisbane (relocated Sunshine Coast event) and Newcastle.
Ticketing website, Oztix, won't be updated over the weekend but the promoter will make an announcement on Monday. Until then, the bands themselves are rolling with their involvement. Blondie Official Facebook account posted their strongest endorsement yet earlier today.
"Despite the recent press reports that the Pandemonium Festival would be cancelled, we – Alice Cooper and Blondie – have worked closely together over the past several weeks to make it happen."
Pandemonium social media is also expected to be updated today.
The event proceeds in a challenging music industry touring and festival environment with Dead Kennedys announcing yesterday, ”We regret to inform everyone that [we] will not be performing at the Pandemonium Festival shows in Australia later this month as the shows have been reduced to one stage and Dead Kennedys will not be included in the lineup. Dead Kennedys is eager to tour Australia when schedules next permit.”
