Put on your boogie shoes and get ready to shake, shake, shake that boo-tay when A Day On The Green rolls into town with a glitter ball’s worth of ‘70s discoflies and sugarmamas, because that’s the way (uh-huh, uh-huh) we like it.
Top of the pops on this strictly disco inferno line-up is KC & The Sunshine, perpetrators of enduring dancefloor hits like ‘Shake Your Booty’, ‘That’s The Way (I Like It)’ and ‘Boogie Shoes’.
Formed in 1973 by frontman Harry Wayne Casey (KC), KC & The Sunshine Band are the essential party-starters. Hustle aboard the soul train and relive the heyday of bell bottoms and platform shoes with their jumping and jiving collection of groovy classics.

For all you hot cops and macho men out there, it’s time to go west because the iconic Village People will also be coming to A Day On The Green in all their pseudo-masculine glory.
Still fronted by original lead singer Victor Willis, Village People have entered a new chapter in their extended story. So wax that moustache and dust off the leathers because it promises to be a magic night when they pump out hits like ‘YMCA’, ‘In The Navy’, ‘Go West’ and ‘You Can’t Stop The Music’.

The disco hits keep coming with the first female family of funk, Sister Sledge. The vocal group formed in 1971 and featured sisters Debbie, Joni, Kim and Kathy Sledge. Their breakthrough album ‘We Are Family’ was released in 1979, spawning their defining hit of the same name.
With the departure of youngest sister Kathy in 1989 to pursue her own solo career, the group continued as a trio until the sad passing of Joni in March of this year. Yet the disco ball spins on with both Debbie and Kim keeping the family spirit alive.

Just when you thought your funk fever had broken, A Day On The Green rounds out with Australian musical treasure Marcia Hines.
Once dubbed the Queen Of Pop, Marcia made her debut at age 16 in the Australian production of ‘Hair!’ and has showed few signs of slowing down since, having released 22 albums to date. She also served as a judge on ‘Australian Idol’ for all seven seasons and in 2007 was inducted into the ARIA Hall Of Fame.
Marcia is currently in Australia on her ‘Disco Inferno’ tour and will bring the fire to Perth with hits like ‘I Just Don’t Know What To Do With Myself’ and ‘Something’s Missing (In My Life)’, which saw her achieve her greatest commercial success during the late 1970s.
