DJ-producer PACES leads a line-up of local talent performing at as part of the sixth annual Gold Coast Music Awards in April.
Joining PACES at the illustrious beachfront event will be energetic world musicians Tijuana Cartel and fiery Bohemian rocker Felicity Lawless.
In its sixth year, the Gold Coast Music Awards continues to shine a spotlight on the region as a wellspring for creative, musical talent. Previous winners include singer-songwriter Amy Shark, Grammy nominee Fisher and folk phenomenon Hollow Coves.
“It’s been really inspiring to see the Gold Coast music scene flourish in recent years,” PACES says.
“People used to have to move to Sydney or Melbourne to pursue a career in music but these days that’s not the case at all. Gold Coast musicians have been absolutely smashing it and achieving global success.”
The Gold Coast Music Awards celebrate the city’s rising stars and sees more than 8,000 people revel in a free, outdoor concert on Surfers Paradise LIVE’s main festival stage.
“It’s been so awesome to see the Awards grow over the years,” Gold Coast Music Awards director, Samantha Morris says.
“Not just the community of musicians who are attending and being nominated, but also Gold Coasters coming along to watch our incredible local talent take that massive beachfront stage.”
