One12 Festival 2021 Line-up

Seabass join the line-up for the inaugural One12 Festival (Adelaide).
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

A new, annual all-ages music festival geared towards supporting local and emerging South Australian music artists, the inaugural One12 Festival arrives in Adelaide next month featuring 22 bands across 5 nights.

Given the void of international touring acts as well as the difficulty organising national tours for Australian artists at the moment, the pandemic has inadvertently offered music lovers the opportunity to invest in local talent and One12 Festival is the perfect opportunity for these bands to showcase their wares to new audiences.

To be staged at the heritage listed Thebarton Theatre, and supported by the South Australian Government's Music Development Office, each band performing as part of One12 Festival will have their set filmed, recorded and streamed, providing invaluable content to promote their brand across social media.

The third event in the series (18 June) will see the four bands on the bill (Seabass, Hey Harriett, Bitchspawn and Stabbitha & The Knifey Wifeys) face-off in a game of Rock, Scissor, Paper to determine the playing order of the night.

While it'll keep the road crew busy setting up, it has the added positive of encouraging the audience to stick around for the entire evening to soak up new sounds alongside their fave local artists.

"The Thebby and MDO have teamed up to bring you some HUGE shows with some incredible locals in June," Seabass says. "We are super pumped to be playing with some of our favourites: Hey Harriett, Stabbitha & The Knifey Wifeys and Bitchspawn."

Adds Nocturnal Animals: "To play at the Thebarton Theatre is more than a dream come true. This is our biggest show yet, if you’re a fan and you haven’t seen us yet, this is the show to go to.

"We will be putting 1,001% into this show and we can’t wait to perform our bones off."

The first concert kicks off 4 June, followed by 12 June, 18 June, 25 June and 26 June. "Surprise! Playing Thebarton Theatre June 4th as part of the One12 Festival #1 with lots of lovely pals," The Empty Threats says.

While Kitchen Witch are "stoked to be part of the One12 Festival at Thebarton Theatre! Massive! Grab a ticket and feel the huge riffs!"
