An array of top-notch Australian acts will take to the stage at Victoria’s Werribee Park this November for a one-day, outdoor show.
One Electric Day has become one of the state’s favourite one-day music festivals, and this year promises once again to be a fun day out for the family.
Every big night in the 1980s featured Noiseworks over the speakers – whether it was ‘No Lies’, ‘Take Me Back’, ‘Hot Chilli Woman’, ‘Touch’, or countless others. Noiseworks’ original members Jon Stevens, Steve Balbi and Kevin Nicol will deliver all their legendary hits, including the ones from their 2022 album ‘Evolution’. It’ll be an all-killer, no filler set.
Since forming in 2000 and growing from independent roots, Perth’s Birds Of Tokyo are one of the country’s most popular contemporary rock bands. They’ve enjoyed hits like ‘Good Lord’, ‘Plans’ and ‘Lanterns’, and they’re one of Triple J’s most played artists of this millennium. The group have played major festivals like Splendour In The Grass, Falls Festival and Red Hot Summer. . . As well as appearing as guests for the likes of Muse, Midnight Oil, Cold Chisel, Incubus and Bon Jovi.
After the colossal success of their debut album, Wolfmother amassed a global fanbase and have played to packed houses around the world. Audiences at Coachella, Isle of Wight, Lollapalooza, Splendour and Fuji Rock, just to name a few, have been treated to their live gigs, and now One Electric Day punters will get to see them in the flesh.
It’s been 30 years since rock band Baby Animals hit the scene with their debut, self-titled album. They were touring with Van Halen in the US when they heard the album had hit the top of the ARIA charts. It spent six weeks there, keeping Nirvana from top spot.
In 2020, Aussie rockers Killing Heidi celebrated 20 years of their debut album ‘Reflector’, featuring smash hits ‘Weir’ and ‘Mascara’. The album catapulted Ella and Jesse Hooper into international superstar status, and next year will see the group celebrate 25 years since its release.
“We are thrilled to announce that we will be performing at One Electric Day, Werribee Park on November 17!” Killing Heidi say. “Joining us on this massive day of rock will be Noiseworks, Birds of Tokyo, Wolfmother, Baby Animals and Chocolate Starfish.”
Chocolate Starfish are the epitome of a concert party. Fronted by Adam Thompson, the group have hits like ‘Four Letter Word’, ‘Mountain’ and ‘You’re So Vain’ under their belts. They powered on to the Australian music scene in the 1990s and quickly secured themselves a space as an influential force.
Tickets are on sale 5 September at 10am.
