Aviator-clad Syrian folk-pop god Omar Souleyman has announced a sideshow to his Meredith performance.
Souleyman, instantly recognisable with his red keffiyeh and Aviators, has been active in Syria since 1994, but has only received international exposure relatively recently. You may have heard his tunes on one of his 500 albums, available on cassette in most Syrian shops.
Souleyman plays The Hi-Fi (Melbourne) on Wednesday December 8.
