Don't ever say English pop, funk singer-songwriter Olly Murs doesn't push himself to breaking point for his art after being hospitalised for a gruesome injury that occurred during his weekend gig in London.
The 'Troublemaker' and 'Wrapped Up' artist surprised fans by posting a video update about his condition that left a bone fragment stuck in the back of his knee. Ouchy ouch!"You're probably thinking 'what is going on, why is Olly in a hospital bed?' Well, I've just had surgery on my left leg," the current judge of 'The Voice UK' says in the video.
"Basically for those who came to the Newmarket gig on Friday; firstly, thank you for your kind messages of support and just checking that I was ok.
"It's been a mad 72 hours since the gig, getting to this point. After my second song, a fragment of bone lodged in the back of my knee after I jumped.
"It basically shut my leg down and during the gig I was limping the whole time; couldn't believe it?!
"It's been a mad 72 hours 'cause I honestly thought the worst, I thought I may have done my knee again; thought I had ruptured my ACL to be honest so this is great news, it really is positive. So sorry I look like a bag of sh.t.
"See you soon everyone, lots of love," said the 'Up' singer, signing off by blowing a kiss to the screen.
Despite being hobbled by the injury, Olly still managed to lead an epic sing-along of Neil Diamond's classic 'Sweet Caroline' at the Newmarket show.
