Of Monsters and Men

Half a decade since they last toured down under, Icelandic indie charmers Of Monsters and Men return to Australia in 2026.

The 'Little Talks' hitmakers will headline concerts in Melbourne, Sydney, Wollongong and Brisbane this May, the folk-pop-rock group's first dates here since January 2020.

"Australia!!! It's been too long! We're heading your way this May! Cannot wait <3 :ঌꕤ໒:," posted the band, who'll be joined at all dates by Australian folktronica artist Gordi.

Of Monsters and Men returned last year with 'All Is Love And Pain In The Mouse Parade', their first studio album in six years.

A record exploring themes of love, pain, loneliness, and connection, it features standouts songs like 'Television Love', 'Ordinary Creature' and 'Dream Team'.

"Over the past few years, we've been laying down roots while quietly collecting and shaping these songs in the studio with our best bud Bjarni Þór Jensson, who we couldn't have done this without," the band posted in October.

"Big love to everyone who brought their magic to this record – strings, brass, vocals, and all the beautiful sounds in between."

Read our review of their Sydney 2020 concert, when we declared: 'The quintet are a bundle of energetic notes, seizure-inducing lights, charismatic characters and smoked-up vocals that would have you tearing up over their beauty.'

An award-winning and beloved Aussie export, known for her emotive vocals and atmospheric indie-pop sound, Gordi toured with Of Monsters and Men in 2016.

"LFG! My sweet Icelandic friends are coming back to Australia. Jumping on tour with Of Monsters and Men this May ❤️."

Tickets on sale from 12pm (local time) on 24 February.
