A staple of Victoria's festival summer calendar for nearly a decade, Philip Island's Ocean Sounds returns in early 2026.

"The soundtrack to your summer is here ☀️. Our 2026 Ocean Sounds festival line-up just dropped and it's sounding real good," declares event organisers, the festival returning Saturday 10 January for its ninth edition.

Set to headline is everyone's favourite gospel-tinged, country-rock lords The Teskey Brothers, whose impressive catalogue of hits includes 'Forever You And Me', 'Pain And Misery', 'So Caught Up' and 'Crying Shame' – that's just scratching the surface too.

Next month Josh and Sam will release 'Live At The Hammersmith Apollo', an album they recorded live to tape last year at London's iconic Apollo Theatre – read our review of their A Day On The Green Brisbane concert earlier this year.

"Next VIC show: Phillip Island in January for Ocean Sounds. Always a great time plus look at this line-up," declares The Teskey Brothers.

From the gentle swaying of The Teskey Brothers, Ocean Sounds will also welcome electronic OGs The Presets for a special DJ set to get everyone from the ravers to seated-blanket moshers involved.

"Philip Island, we're coming for you! 🌊 Come catch our DJ set at the Ocean Sounds –it's going to be an epic day of sun, tunes, and good vibes 🌴 Let's party 🌅🔥."

Thelma Plum will also be on-hand to deliver one of her spellbinding performances that blends rock, blues, pop and folk with her captivating songwriting that has produced such hits as 'Better In Blak', 'Homecoming Queen' and 'Clumsy Love', as well as more recent tracks including 'We Don't Talk About It', 'Freckles' and 'Hurricane'.

Thelma is currently touring regional Australia; read our recent interview with her.

The remainder of the bill features local talent led by singer-songwriter Steph Stings, who is currently on a major tour of North America that wraps up in August at Edmonton Folk Festival.

With four EP releases since her 2018 debut, Strings' catalogue includes such sonic folk-roots charmers like 'Dusty Road', 'Antigone' and 'Please Come Home (with Kim Churchill)'.

"PHILLIP ISLAND OMG I'M PLAYING Ocean Sounds!!!!!!!!!! HOME TOWN SHOW 🥹❤️ I'm currently touring North America and really missing Australia, so this is the BEST news 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺."

Then there's local bogan funksters Playlunch, who have a new single dropping 13 June called 'Keith' that will resonate with many, the band writing a song about their neighbour's aggression about street parking.

The Naarm connection continues with emerging indie pop singer-songwriter Holly Hebe and funky groovers The Foxy Junes joining the bill alongside special performance from locals Millowl Dreaming.

"Ocean Sounds 2026 💋 I love Phillip Island and I loveeee this line-up," Holly Hebe says. The Foxy Junes add: "Cannot wait to play Ocean Sounds. What an honour to be a part of such a powerhouse line-up! See you there."

Soak up the sounds of summer and join fellow music lovers for picnic rugs, smiling friends, stunny local wines, gourmet food and some of Australia's most amazing live music for the perfect family-friendly music festival.

Tickets on sale from 8am (local time) on 6 June.

Ocean Sounds takes place at Phillip Island on 10 January, 2026.
