Jakarta-born, LA-based singer-songwriter and producer NIKI will bring her Nicole World Tour to Australia this September.
The tour to Australia follows her sold-out North American headlining tour. NIKI also unveils the music video for the fan-favourite track ‘Backburner’ – directed by Isaac Ravishankara. It takes viewers into her world, as she watches old footage recorded on her camcorder, and relives fond memories of a past relationship.
Since breaking through in 2018 with her EP ‘Zephyr’, NIKI has made a powerful imprint on the pop scene. She’s built more than 2.1 billion streams, and has made history as the first Indonesian artist ever to perform at Coachella.
Last summer, NIKI released her sophomore album ‘Nicole’, a project which sees her where she shines as she returns to her singer-songwriter roots and meets with her teenage self. Following ‘Nicole’, NIKI also made her acting debut in her short film ‘But I’m Letting Go’ – a moving retelling of her first love story and heartbreak which expands upon the story previously seen in her videos ‘High School In Jakarta’, ‘Oceans & Engines’ and ‘Before’.
In October of last year, NIKI played a sold-out headline show at the Los Angeles venue The Wiltern, and released a live album in celebration. The live album features tracks from ‘Nicole’, as well as previous tracks like ‘Lowkey’, ‘Every Summertime’, and more.
