Sydney's outdoor concert series Night At The Barracks returns for a fourth season in 2025, with event organisers expanding the concept into Brisbane for the inaugural Night At The Parkland as part of Brisbane Festival.

Staged at Manly's gorgeous North Head Sanctuary, that's steeped in historical significance and natural beauty, between early September and early October, Night At The Barracks' 2025 line-up features contemporary acts Cut Copy, Lime Cordiale, Amy Shark and James Johnston, as well as nostalgia groups including Icehouse, Hoodoo Gurus, Missy Higgins, Kate Ceberano and Ian Moss & Mark Seymour, without forgetting ultimate party band Furnace and the Fundamentals.

Located in Roma Street Parkland's spectacular amphitheatre area in the heart of Brsbane's CBD, Night At The Parkland is a collaboration between organisers Second Sunday and Brisbane Festival.

To be held across two weekends in September, Night At The Parkland will also host Icehouse, Lime Cordiale, Amy Shark, Cut Copy and James Johnston as well as Xavier Rudd (read our recent interview with Xavier).

Grinspoon bring their 30th Birthday Bonanza tour (with Bad//Dreems) to both events. "We are beyond humbled and downright flippin' thrilled to be celebrating our 30th anniversary with you this year (we know, we don't look a day over 29)," states Grinspoon with a cheeky grin.

Night At The Barracks and Night At The Parkland are both deeply committed to pursuing environmental sustainability, actively seeking and integrating progressive green initiatives, working towards redefining eco-consciousness within Australian events.

From reusable aluminium cups and merchandise made from 100 per cent recycled materials to waste management and powering the site from 100 per cent renewable energy, both events minimise their carbon footprint.

"We're absolutely thrilled to build on the incredible success in Manly and bring the magic to Brisbane. Pairing a stunning, iconic venue with world-class artists and a premium experience – we can’t wait," shares Event Promoter Second Sunday co-founder Cameron Coghlan.

Adds Brendan Maher, Second Sunday co-founder: "We are proud to be able to showcase to audiences in Sydney and Brisbane a quality, all-Australian artist line-up that showcases the true depth of musical talent in this country. This not only includes our brilliant headliners, but also a great roster of support artists that will grace our stages across the series."

Known for its horticultural splendour, Roma Street Parkland is the world's largest subtropical garden in an urban centre. "Brisbane deserves world-class music experiences in extraordinary settings, and Night At The Parkland delivers just that," Brisbane Festival's Artistic Director, Louise Bezzina says.

"We're thrilled to welcome this epic outdoor concert series to Roma Street Parkland as part of Brisbane Festival. It's going to be seven unforgettable nights under the stars."
