Sydney's North Head Barracks will stage live music for the very first time when the historic and enchanting location is utilised for a new concert series Night At The Barracks.
To host performances across September and October, Night At The Barracks will welcome a programme of live music as well as theatre, ballet, dance, opera and jazz.The likes of Jessica Mauboy, Josh Pyke with Emma Donovan & The Putbacks, Something For Kate, The Rubens, Winston Surfshirt and Tim Finn headline the musical line-up.
Other performers include David Campbell, James Morrison Motown Experience, The Tap Pack, Australian Rock Collective performing The Beatles' 'Let It Be' album, David Hobson & Lucy Durack and Bjorn Again.
The Sydney Dance Company will also host an exclusive double bill performing Rafael Bonachela's 'Impermanence' and the iconic duet from 'ab [intra]'. While Symphony Under The Stars will feature John Foreman and The Aussie Pops Orchestra performing popular classics.
John Foreman and The Aussie Pops Orchestra will return for '80's Symphonica', a night that reimagines all the classic '80s pop bangers when big hair and shoulder pads were the chic fashion trends.
“I am delighted the countdown to Night at the Barracks is on," Minister for Tourism Stuart Ayres says.
"This event is a great example of using our stunning natural assets in Sydney as a backdrop for an outstanding and varied programme of local artists to showcase the convergence of culture and nature that is unique to the Harbour City."
Night At The Barracks at North Head Barracks (Sydney) runs 9 September to 9 October. Tickets on sale now.
