New Model Army Australia 2025 Tour

New Model Army
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Veteran British post punk, folk rockers New Model Army are finally heading down under for their very first Australian shows, ever.

The band – known for their songs '51st State', 'Vagabonds', 'The Hunt', 'Green And Grey' and 'Stupid Questions', and led by original (and only continuous) member vocalist-guitarist-songwriter Justin Sullivan – will headline concerts Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth next May.

"We are delighted to announce that we will be heading down under next year, playing our first ever concerts in Australia in May!"

Now in their fifth decade, the band from Bradford, England, who launched in 1980, continue to release new music having shared their 16th studio album 'Unbroken' in January 2024. The record features the singles 'First Summer After', 'Coming Or Going' and 'Language'.

Written about the UK Post Office scandal, 'Unbroken' track 'I Did Nothing Wrong' explores the tale of corporate arrogance and cruelty that has festered for years.

"It's quite extraordinary to many millions of us Brits that, years after the Post Office scandal became common knowledge, the deliberate delaying of any proper justice has continued," Justin Sullivan says.

"We actually wrote 'I Did Nothing Wrong' a couple of years ago, taking the scandal as its central storyline and then taking a broader swipe at the brutal, binary, digitised world that we are stupidly allowing to replace normal human interactions."

Tickets are on sale.
