The Queen of Rock 'n' Roll, Tina Turner gets the HBO Documentary treatment with a new movie to premiere later this month.Simply titled 'Tina', the film from directors Dan Lindsay and T.J. Martin (Oscar-winning 'Undefeated') features never-before-seen footage, audio tapes, personal photos, and new interviews, including with the singer herself.

'Tina' chronicles the life of the legendary music powerhouse from her rise to fame, her tumultuous relationship with Ike Turner, other personal and professional struggles and her comeback in the early '80s to become a global phenomenon.
"I had an abusive life; there's no other way to tell the story."
The documentary includes interviews with Angela Bassett; Oprah Winfrey; journalist Kurt Loder who co-authored 'I, Tina', which inspired the feature film; playwright Katori Hall, who scribed 'Tina – The Tina Turner Musical'; and husband and former record executive Erwin Bach, among many others.
Tina's story is one of an immensely talented performer who courageously spoke her truth about domestic abuse, and refused to let age, gender or a difficult past stand in her way.
