A new supergroup (or as they're labelling themselves, a 'soup-group') calling themselves Total Pace has emerged from Brisbane featuring members from Violent Soho, DZ Deathrays, I Heart Hiroshima and Tape/Off.
The punk-rock band - featuring Luke Henry (Violent Soho), Simon Ridley (DZ Deathrays/ Velociraptor), Branko Cosic (Tape/Off, Gold Stars) and Matthew Somers (I Heart Hiroshimna) - formed after many years hanging out talking about their favourite punk bands.
Their debut offering is titled '73' and is a thrashy, rollicking affair with a chugging breakdown that will have you bashing around with your mates.
'A thirst for blitzing fun times brought the group together after having spent many nights hanging out, drinking each others band riders over the years talking about some of their favourite punk bands.
'After months of trying not to exclusively write songs about beer, and somehow avoiding a beer pun for a name, Total Pace are here to really just have a good time.'
