MusicSA has introduced a new annual industry survey to track local industry information and to better track the changes occurring across the South Australian contemporary music industry.
The aim is to build the most comprehensive picture of the current contemporary music industry in South Australia. Just launched, the survey data will be collected and used each year to assist in informing their approach to advocacy as well as helping to design MusicSA’s Industry Development programs to better reflect current changes and challenges the industry faces.
The peak body is calling for anonymous contributions. Participation is free and encouraged to enable all experiences to be represented. The survey can be completed here.
A spokesperson for the organisation said, "we know first-hand how fast the contemporary music industry can evolve. More detailed insight from the sector supports us to champion for what you need and to advocate to government and key stakeholders on your behalf.
"We are calling upon all working music industry professionals to participate, from artists to managers, venue operators and managers, government workers, photographers, booking agents, event production crew, allied industries and beyond. If your professional work intersects with this industry in any way, we want to hear from you!"
The survey will be collected in advance of our first Sound Check each year and key outcomes and findings will be shared at that time.
