American country-rock artist Nate Smith has extended his Australian visit this spring.
Last in the country for the 2024 edition of CMC Rocks QLD, and already slated to play Ridin' Hearts Festival in Sydney and Melbourne, the 'Whiskey On You' and 'World On Fire' hitmaker has added a headline concert in Brisbane this October.Although still a relatively new name in country music, Smith's catalogue has already amassed 2.5 billion global streams, while 2024 saw him collect a stack of accolades including ACM New Male Artist Of The Year, Billboard's Country Power Players Rookie Of The Year, and Amazon Music's 2024 Breakthrough Artist.
After scoring another hit with 'Fix What You Didn't Break' as well as his Avril Lavigne collab 'Can You Die From A Broken Heart' (both of which feature on his 2024 album 'California Gold'), this year Smith teamed with HARDY for 'Nobody Likes Your Girlfriend'.
His current single is the mega-emotive 'Dads Don't Die', which he recently rerecorded with Nashville singer-songwriter Emily Weisband who wrote the original tune.
"The hook of this song popped into my brain like God dropped it there and I brought it into Allen Shamblin and Marc Beeson the next week π₯² and then I sent it to Nate Smith," Emily says.
"Not only did he make it his own, he invited me to come and sing a version with him π₯Ήπ₯Ή idk, just anyone who knows me knows how much I love my daddy, so for this song to be sung by one of my favourite voices in country music is so special to me; and me getting to sing it with him is a sweet little cherry on top π I hope this song is a friend to you, cyberhug!"
Don't miss out as Smith brings an array of fan favourites and brand-new music to Australia this October.
Tickets to the Brisbane concert on sale from 11am (local time) on 3 July. Tickets to Ridin' Hearts Festival are available.
