A musical enigma who flirted with global stardom more than a decade ago, mysterious British songwriter-producer-artist Jai Paul is headed to Melbourne for two exclusive shows.
After being the focus of a bidding war among a number of record companies in 2010 after a demo he recorded, 'BTSTU', blew up the interwebs (Drake and Beyonce both sampled the track), Jai Paul would release his other well-known track 'Jasmine' in 2012 before a controversy surrounding the leaking of material in 2013 attributed to Jai Paul saw the producer withdraw from the public spotlight.It wasn't until 2019 that Jai made the project official, releasing 'Leak 04-13 (Bait Ones)' on all streaming services.
After making his live debut at Coachella this year, Jai Paul has since sold-out concerts in New York and London (in April and May).
With reports he is making new music, Paul will perform two exclusive concerts in Melbourne this December as part of ALWAYS LIVE, a 17-day celebration of contemporary live music across Victoria (24 Nov to 10 Dec).
