Muse Will Visit Australia Next Year

Muse
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Brit rockers Muse will release their sixth album The 2nd Law this Friday, which means an Australian tour to follow, right? Right.

Drummer Dominic Howard has revealed that the Aussie fans will receive their fair share of face melting when the three-piece tour to promote the newest album in late 2013.

“I think it's just gonna be next year sometime,” Howard says. “Well to be honest rather than saying we're gonna be there soon, it's gonna be towards the end of next year, I know. Coming up to your summer. We'll be looking forward to coming back and doing some nice big shows.”

And apparently, fans have more to look forward to than an arena show.

Last November, front-man Matt Bellamy tweeted that the band's new project would be, “Christian gangsta rap jazz odyssey, some ambient rebellious dubstep and face melting metal flamenco cowboy psychedelia.”

So if Biggie and Skrillex conceived a child, and that child was christened Louis Armstrong, and Louis took the stage with Jefferson Airplane to cover a Jimi Hendrix song, at a church, in space... and Enya was there...

We totally saw Muse going in this direction. We called it.
