Britain's folk darlings Mumford & Sons are heading back to Australian shores at the end of the year for their 'Wilder Mind' tour, playing shows up and down the east coast throughout November.
'Wilder Mind', their latest studio offering since 2012's 'Babel', has been described by frontman Marcus Mumford as a "development, not a departure" from the group's signature sound, and after doing the rounds of Europe earlier this year, the group is now heading down under.
Ever since 'Little Lion Man' topped the Triple J Hottest 100 in 2009, Mumford & Sons have remained firm favourites in Australia, and this tour seems set to enhance our adoration for the group. Folk music is at its best when sung and performed to an audience, and Mumford & Sons' energetic live shows continue to add to this dynasty, with their expansive songs and swelling vocals providing the perfect backdrop to welcome the summer.
Sydneysiders will be treated to something a little different; a little something called 'Mumford & Sons All Day Show Presented By Gentlemen of the Road', an all-day event curated by the boys themselves and featuring, alongside them of course, Jake Bugg, The Vaccines, The Jungle Giants and more.
Melbourne and Brisbane shows will get kick-ass support from The Vaccines, Meg Mac and Future Islands.
