American heavy metal band Mudvayne have teamed with veteran LA nu metal act Coal Chamber for a joint tour of Australia in 2024.
The fusion of two legends of the late '90s, 2000s brand of metal, Mudvayne and Coal Chamber will hit Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth next February.The Ill Noise from Illinois, after a decade-plus hiatus Mudvayne reunited in 2021 returning to a catalogue seamlessly blending death metal, jazz, fusion, progressive rock, and world music.
Math metal alchemists, Mudvayne's music continues to resonate with 2.5 million monthly Spotify listeners, with such classics as 'Happy?', 'Dig', 'Scream With Me' and 'Not Falling' constantly thrashed.
Coal Chamber were on the front line as nu metal was born, one of the first bands to harness detuned guitars, noisy textures, white knuckle intensity, hardcore punk, and hip hop into a furious mix of swirling sonic potency.
Fronted by Dez Fafara, Coal Chamber recently reunited for a second time, with Fafara joined by Miguel Rascón, Mike Cox and Nadja Peulen to breathe new life into such classics as 'Loco', 'Sway', 'Fiend' and 'Shock The Monkey'.
