For more than 25 years, Seattle's Mudhoney have lead the 'grunge' rock movement and they've not lost an once of the energy that launched both them and the Sub Pop record label in 1988.

Infrequent visitors to Australia, Mudhoney pack shows and The Zoo on Saturday night was no exception. Supported by Oz bands, Gravel Samwidge and feedtime, Mudhoney played a set covering their entire discography, from the first release to the latest.

Frontman Mark Arm paid respect to support act, feedtime, thanking them for joining the tour. Sydney's feedtime is credited with influencing many Pacific North-West bands, including Mudhoney and Nirvana. They were active from the late 70s through the late 80s and reformed a year ago to tour again.

After the Gold Coast Big Day Out, Mudhoney continue south to play Sydney and Melbourne sideshows and the BDO in each city.
