Experimental rock, avant-garde metallers, Mr. Bungle will tour Australia in 2024 and they're bringing Melvins with them.
The original Mr. Bungle trio of Trey Spruance, Mike Patton and Trevor Dunn, joined by Anthrax's Scott Ian and former Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo, will play concerts in Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth next March."Australia! It's been a while. We're heading your way this March with our good friends and label mates Melvins."
Spruance, Patton and Dunn first formed Mr. Bungle in the mid '80s in the Californian coastal township Eureka, the band signing to Warner Bros Records (in part because Patton had joined Faith No More) in 1990, releasing three albums during the '90s before a twenty-year hiatus ensured until 2020.
The band's reemergence resulted in the re-recording of Mr. Bungle's 1986 demo tape, 'The Raging Wrath Of The Easter Bunny Demo' – marking the group's fourth studio album.
Currently celebrating their 40th anniversary that has seen them tour North America and Europe, Melvins have been influential in inspiring a number of generations including Nirvana and Soundgarden.
Melvins have released new music continuously throughout their career, with their 26th album 'Bad Mood Rising' arriving last year, with the band planning to release more new music in the coming year.
Tickets on sale from 11am (local time) on 23 November.
