After making their Australian live debut last year, Canadian rock veterans Mother Mother return in 2024.
The British Columbia alt rockers, who had a surged in popularity in 2020 after their music (especially their 2008 album 'O My Heart') went viral on TikTok, will headline concerts in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and Perth this November."We are beyond thrilled to be returning to Australia again," Mother Mother vocalist, songwriter, and guitarist Ryan Guldemond says.
"We adore our fans in this part of the world. We've always been met with wide open arms and we can't wait to create an epic night of indie rock and positive vibes. . . We truly can't wait!"
The band – comprised of Guldemond as well as Molly Guldemond (vocals, keys), Jasmin Parkin (vocals, keys), Ali Siadat (drums) and Mike Young (bass) – who recently released their ninth studio album 'Grief Chapter' have released the music video for the album's current single 'Explode!'.
Sonically, 'Grief Chapter''s 12 songs are some of Mother Mother's most muscular offerings of all time, buoyed by legions of new fans and the bigger rooms and venues that have followed their recent years of continued, evolved success.
"Our instinct was to make things hit hard and feel powerful," Ryan says. "We don't take this moment for granted – or this life. A life in music, doing what we love with whom we love."
