Morrissey To Release Lou Reed Cover

Morrissey thinks about mortality a lot, so it makes sense that he'd be hit pretty hard by Lou Reed's death.

The legendarily gloomy ex-Smiths frontman will release digital and seven-inch versions of his cover of Reed's classic song, 'Satellite Of Love'. (The cover was recorded during his set at the Chelsea Ballroom in Las Vegas on November 25, 2011.)

The digital release is set for November 29, in conjunction with the audio book of his autobiography, Morrissey. Hilariously, Morrissey will be read by actor David Morrissey (The Walking Dead, Blackpool), a joke that probably wore thin for David by the time he recorded the final chapter of the book.

The Lou Reed cover will be rounded out with other live tracks; it's not yet known which tracks these will be.
