Well, that was quick.
In response to yesterday's frantic pre-sale that saw tens of thousands of fans trying to snap up, well, less than tens of thousands of tickets, Bruce Springsteen And The E Street Band have announced four new shows.
Promoter Michael Gudinski said: "The ticket sales for the tour have been outstanding and it was clear within the first couple of minutes that demand was far going to outweigh the number of tickets we had available. I jumped straight on the phone to Bruce's people and they have happily agreed to add these additional shows for the general public on-sale on Friday 14 December at 9am local time. It's fantastic that even more fans will have the chance to secure tickets on Friday, however I do stress that these shows are strictly limited."
Bruce and co. will now play the following dates:
Thu Mar 14 — Brisbane Entertainment Centre
Sat Mar 16 — Brisbane Entertainment Centre *NEW SHOW*
Mon Mar 18 — Allphones Arena (Sydney)
Wed Mar 20 — Allphones Arena (Sydney) *NEW SHOW*
Sun Mar 24 — Rod Laver Arena (Melbourne)
Tue Mar 26 — Rod Laver Arena (Melbourne) *NEW SHOW*
Sat Mar 30 — Hanging Rock (Woodend)
Sun Mar 31 — Hanging Rock (Woodend) *NEW SHOW*
UPDATE: This is getting ridiculous. Springsteen — the blue-collar P!nk — has announced a third and final Melbourne show (bringing his total Victorian tally to five, when you include the Hanging Rock shows).
