With a whole extra day to enjoy at The Gum Ball this year, the folk at Dashville are pulling out all stops with their huge programme of live music and family fun.
Even more bands have been added to an already stellar line-up that includes Tex Perkins & The Fat Rubber Band, Magic Dirt, Sampa The Great and Augie March. Read more about The Gum Ball 2019 line-up here.
Joining The Gum Ball in the latest reveal will be desert reggae group Tjupi Band from Central Australia, rock duo The Ruiins hailing from the Mid North Coast and Morgana Osaki from Newcastle producing stunning harp-inflected soundscapes.
The Gum Ball produces a festival-first in its 14th year with the introduction of an engaging programme of activities taking place in The Tractor Shed – an intimate studio space that will host Q&A sessions with the festivals headliners, stand-up comedy, the screening of the acclaimed Van Duren documentary with a live Van Duren interview plus a talk with author Stuart Coupe about his book 'Roadies'. Continuing its history as a very family-friendly festival, The Gum Ball also presents a range of fun activities for the kids such as the Circus Playground, the reptile show, puppet-making workshops by The Squeaking Tribe, and mask-making and theatre games with Curious Legends.
The stellar food line-up includes Bao Brothers, East Coast Paella Co., Rustic Pizza, Cyprus Kitchen, Funky Food Van and Natural Pancake Co., plus the The Swoop Inn Café, which will be the coffee destination throughout the event. There’s also a range of vintage markets and a Zenthai Shiatsu therapist.
