With Drapht, Dune Rats and Spit Syndicate already announced on the Shakafest line-up, the Gold Coast event has added more bands to the bill.

The new arrivals are headlined by upbeat pop Sydneysider’s Planet, the insanely loud Jurassic Nark and local '70s, psychedelic-funk-rock band Lotus Ship.

To kick off the day, local blues rock & roll band Trapdoor will be taking the stage as well as the not-so-delicate surf rock duo Bleach Girls. While GC locals Radolescent plan to make an impression with their ‘in your face’ vocals, tricky guitar licks and thrashing drums.

For the cherry on top, the hosts of the party GD FRNDS will be taking it away with their alluring DJ set.

Shakafest takes place at the Miami Tavern (Gold Coast) 27 August.
