More Acts Added To WOMADelaide 2025 Line-Up

Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

A huge 25 more artists have been added to the 2025 WOMADelaide festival.


WOMADelaide 2025 will now include exclusive performances from three global icons: queen of Afropop Yemi Alade (Nigeria), GRAMMY Award-nominated reggae/dancehall star Protoje & The Indiggnation (Jamaica), and legendary 90s hip-hop trio Digable Planets (USA).

These acts, and more, join 48 previously-announced acts like Roisin Murphy (Ireland), PJ Harvey (UK), Mariza (Portugal), Khruangbin (USA), and Nitin Sawhney (UK). . . Who will all take to the stage at Adelaide’s Botanic Park in March, 2025.

WOMADelaide is a vibrant, annual celebration of music, arts and dance. . .Featuring global talents as well as providing a platform for homegrown acts.


The second announcement of acts also includes contemporary folk singer-songwriter Bess Atwell (UK) and Nana Benz du Togo (Togo). . . As well as Inuk artist Elisapie (Canada), electrifying London duo O. (UK), Peruvian-born, Berlin-based DJ Sofia Kourtesis (Peru), Sydney-based DEVAURA (NZ/AUS), and ten-piece outfit Owelu Dreamhouse.

The internationally-acclaimed Central Australian Aboriginal Women’s Choir (AUS) blends baroque choral arrangements with ancient sacred songs. . . And in celebration of the 50th year of Papua New Guinea’s independence, The Australian Art Orchestra’s Artistic Director, Aaron Choulai has created a stunning choral concert, ‘Ane Ta Abia’, in collaboration with Tatana Village Choir.

Bousta (a hip hop MC who raps in English and Arrernte) and Meena De Silva (a Sri-Lankan-Australian pop/R&B artist) have been selected from the recent Northern Sound System Academy Showcase, to perform at WOMADelaide.


French street pioneers ilotopie (France) return to Adelaide for the first time since 1992, with a surreal, interactive performance. ‘Dear Stranger’, from Tilda Cobham-Hervey (AUS) turns letter writing into an adventure, creating an exchange of anonymous stories and human connections.

Foodies will love Sanctuary Restaurant which makes its return in 2025, offering a refined dining experience inspired by Australia’s native ingredients, and botanical richness. . . With views across Botanic Park/Tainmuntilla.
