If you were amped for Blues On Broadbeach before, there’s plenty more where that came from – as the festival drops even more names for the 2026 Gold Coast event.

Returning where it all began, Australian music icon Ian Moss will take to the stage once again, as part of the four-day, free festival programme. He performed at the very first one in 2002. From the legendary years in Cold Chisel, to a successful solo career, Ian remains one of Australia’s most revered guitarists and vocalists.

“I first played Blues on Broadbeach back in 2002, so I’m thrilled to be returning for my third appearance in 2026 as this incredible festival celebrates 25 years,” Ian says. It’s always a fantastic experience with an outstanding line-up so if you haven’t been before, make sure you get along. I can’t wait.”

Joining the anniversary programme is GRAMMY Award-winning bassist MonoNeon, Melbourne soul and funk favourites The Bamboos (returning for their third Blues appearance), and acclaimed contemporary folk artist Grace Cummings, making her festival debut.

Festival faves Hussy Hicks will return, with their infectious energy and genre-blending sound, alongside bluesman Jimi Hocking, powerhouse performer Minnie Marks, and celebrated songwriter Cass Eager.

“Blues on Broadbeach has always been about bringing incredible live music to the heart of Broadbeach, and this next wave of artists continues that tradition,” Experience Gold Coast Festival Director Mark Duckworth says. “Artists like MonoNeon and Grace Cummings will be a real treat for audiences, alongside festival favourite Ian Moss. It’s just another layer of icing on the cake as we celebrate the festival’s 25th birthday.”

Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate agrees.

“It’s time to get a little blues into your life and what a way to do it than watching Ian Moss own the stage,” he says. “Mossy’s presence at this year’s Blues further cements our reputation as the best blues festival in the southern hemisphere. Make a date with Mossy at Broadbeach – it’s free, it’s for families and it’s world class. See you there.”
