An emerging voice in indie rock, American band Momma make their Australian live debut this summer.
The Brooklyn natives, known for such hits as 'Speeding 72', 'Medicine' and 'I Want You (Fever)' (the latter from their new album 'Welcome To My Blue Sky'), will headline concerts in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne this January.
"We are so excited to be hitting Australia next year! We've been looking forward to playing this country for so long, can't wait to see all of you <333," shares Momma.
With four studio albums to their name as well as supports with the likes of Weezer, Alex G, beabadoobee, and Wet Leg, as well as appearances at Coachella and Primavera Sound, Momma's ascent shows no signs of slowing.
'Welcome To My Blue Sky' takes place during a charmed and turbulent summer – a transformative moment in time that co-founders Etta Friedman and Allegra Weingarten sum up as a period of "parallel chaos".
"The past three years have been some of the heaviest, most formative, and most exciting years of our lives. We've kept these stories close to the chest for many years, secrets shared between the two of us – and now we're sharing it with all of you 💙."
The band performed the album's standout single 'I Want You (Fever)', which saw them make on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!', their live TV debut.
Set to join the tour will be Melbourne band Armlock. Friends for 14 years, Lam (vocals and guitar) and Mitchell (guitar and keyboards) have been in their fair share of musical projects together and apart.
