After a run of shows this past spring supporting the 40th anniversary of their breakthrough hit 'I Hear Motion', Aussie band Models return in 2024 with another round of live performances.
The opening track on the band's third album, 'The Pleasure Of Your Company', 'I Hear Motion' became Models' first Top 40 hit when it was released in 1983."Essentially, the song is about hopes, dreams and opportunity," guitarist-singer Sean Kelly says.
It was a pivotal moment for the band, who would soon tour with David Bowie and perform for Prince Charles and Princess Diana before breaking into the US Top 40 charts.
The ARIA Hall Of Fame members will headline shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Fremantle and Perth as well as two regional Victoria shows: Archies Creek and Bundalaguah.
"It's not about reinventing the wheel – we go and play it as it was intended," Models' keyboardist Andrew Duffield told us in September. "There's no backing tracks and no sequences playing in the background or anything. It's all hand play.
"So we have a lot of fun and a lot of loyal supporters, you know, over the years that have stuck with us. It's gonna be great."
Tickets are on sale.
