Get set to wind the clock back to the '90s and early noughties this New Year's Day in Brisbane, when the Ministry Of Sound crew reunite a classic line-up of DJs for a mega party celebrating the golden era of dance music.
We're talking superstar talent in the form of Stafford Brothers, Groove Terminator, Kid Kenobi, John Course, Tonite Only, and many more, who'll return to the DJ booth to provide a relentless stream of dance-floor bangers.Ministry Of Sound Classics is set to take place at The Prince Consort, formerly known as The Elephant Arms Hotel, whose new owners have upgraded the venue, which now features eight unique spaces, each offering a different experience – making it the place to be this New Year's Day.
"After spending much of the year up on blocks," Groove Terminator says, "I'm keen as mustard to get back on the tools and drop some much loved classics on New Year's Day!"
"Thanks to COVID it's been way too long since I've had the chance to rock a proper dance floor," Kid Kenobi adds. "And even longer since I've been able to do it with my old-school homie MC Shureshock.
"I can't wait to relive some of the classic moments we've had over the years as well as play live some of the beats we laid done on our early 2000s Ministry Of Sound mixes (which I still get asked about today!). It's gonna be epic!"
Ministry Of Sound Classics NYD takes place at The Prince Consort (Brisbane) 1 January (2pm-12am).
