Meredith Festival Tips

Meredith Music Festival 2012
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

For all of those lucky enough to be attending Meredith, here are some last minute, handy hints for you:

The Pocket Companion — print and read it! Not only does it have essential info on who's playing where, but there's also helpful tips and suggestions in there too. Find it here.

Bring Warm and Waterproof Clothes — the days may be warm and require a good layer of sunscreen, but the nights get cold! Sleeping bags, jumpers, socks, etc are a must for when the sun sets. Thongs are not advised!

The Meredith Gift — this year will be run on a new extended track around the ampitheatre and commentated by American actor/comedian JB Smoove.

Tasty New Stuff – there are many improved eateries in The Sup', and 24 hour bakeries and Fish n Chips for all, no matter what the budget.

Ice Ice Baby – you can buy ice, but The Iceman has moved near The Meredith Eye behind The Pink Flamingo.

The Rules – just a few to make sure everyone has a good time. No glass please, always carry photo ID, no fires, please bring any medication you will need, no loud music in campsites, and no blocking other people's views in the ampitheatre!

Wristbands – this is your ticket to everything. Put it on before you arrive and leave it on. Maybe forever. Trespassers will be charged.
