Raise your horns for Australia's newest touring metal festival, Meltdown.
Meltdown Festival steps up to meet demand for a quality alternative and heavy metal event since the demise of Soundwave, not to mention the furore over British import Download Festival.
Meltdown will take place in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane over successive weekends in May, and will feature a strong line-up of some of Australia's fastest-rising acts.
Headlining the roster is Gay Paris, Child, Arteries, The Black Swamp, Sumeru, Never and one more to be announced.
These seven acts will play all cities, while the remaining line-up in each city will be supplied by local bands.
Already looking toward expanding to more cities, more bands and multiple stages in 2019, Meltdown Festival is set to take up a vital position on the national touring circuit.
