Melbourne-based singer-songwriters looking for a financial boost, the final Alex Legg Memorial Foundation's scholarship is currently seeking applications, with three musicians to receive $1,000 grants each.
The scholarship comprises not only the $1,000 grant, but access to ALMF Board Members' experience, expertise and networks, and any other career assistance and direction the ALMF may provide in the spirit of Alex Legg, who devoted so much time and energy to encouraging emerging singer-songwriters."We're so proud to have been able to help out many great artists in the six years we've been operating and this year, for our final hurrah, we've decided to help out not one, but three artists, with grants of $1,000 each.
"The successful applicants will not only write amazing songs but also possess the will and drive to develop a sustainable, long lasting music career, whose values and aspirations reflect those of the Foundation."
