In its ten-year anniversary programme, Melbourne Music Week pays tribute to the past decade with a retrospective celebration of its most memorable successes.
Melbourne Music Week (MMW) has showcased over 2,200 acts across more than 1,000 events since 2010, highlighting Melbourne's well-earned reputation as a global music city.
This year, immersive pop-up venue Kubik returns as the Melbourne Music Week Hub, taking its place in Alexandra Gardens on the banks of the Yarra River to host local and international music acts every evening throughout MMW.
An outdoor music venue unlike any other, Kubik is a German-designed structure by Balestra Berlin that lights up in response to music. It remains an MMW fan favourite since its first appearance Birrarung Marr in 2011.
Headlining Kubik in 2019 will be Melbourne’s own international dance superstar CC:Disco! who brings her joyous Club Coco to open Hub proceedings with Raphaël Top-Secret, followed by performances from Kittin (with Jennifer Loveless and Sunshine & Disco Faith Choir), Andy Stott, Monolake and Robin Fox.

Iconic 'Godfathers Of Techno' Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft (DAF) make their Australian debut with an exclusive show as part of Melbourne Music Week alongside Total Control and Dark Water.
The MMW ten-tear celebrations also include the return of some of its favourite acts and most memorable past Hub venues. Sarah Mary Chadwick will embrace the famed T C Lewis Organ at the stunning St Pauls’ Cathedral, while over at State Library Victoria, Steve Gunn, Tiny Ruins and Grand Salvo will join forces for an exclusive performance in Redmond Barry Reading Room.
There's a kid-friendly dance fest courtesy of family rave experts Big Fish Little Fish, the return of Melbourne Observation Wheel Music Menagerie and Sing Session plus live music from Stonefield and Body Type.
Beyond the music there's also the MMW Talks programme, designed to engage the minds of fans and music industry professionals alike with free panels and discussions on topics ranging from music and AI to sustainability in the industry, the psychology of music and mood, and cancel culture.

There's also official after parties for those wanting to keep the good times rolling and of course the grand finale, the MMW closing party that takes over the Hamer Hall foyer.
From intimate encounters to headline performances, Melbourne Music Week sparks memorable moments and invites people to experience music in a different way in live music venues and unique spaces throughout Melbourne.
