Australian singer-songwriter, Meg Mac has released another new single titled 'On Your Mind', which was created with production team The Donuts (H.E.R., Kendrick Lamar).
A month after dropping the starkly emotive alternative pop banger 'Is It Worth Being Sad?', 'On Your Mind' finds Mac exploring more soulful tones, her radiant voice creating a hypnotic blend of classy pop meets majestic indie feels. Meg has also unveiled a five-date tour of Australia (her first national tour in two years) that will visit Melbourne, Hobart, Canberra, Brisbane and Sydney commencing in May.
"I sent The Donuts a simple vocal and piano demo, and some references for the mood I was thinking," begins Meg detailing the birth of 'On Your Mind'.
"But it was pretty loose, they could do whatever they wanted. One day they sent a video from the studio of a tiny snippet, I played it on repeat I was so obsessed.
"They tore it apart and flipped it completely; when I heard the full song I was so confused and excited.
"My BVs had become the chorus, they chopped up all these vocals, moved everything around, changed all the chords."
