Matt & Kim — a good band that actually make good music — have gone with shock and awe tactics for the cover to their forthcoming remix LP, Lightning Remixes.
If you were one of those people who thought Matt & Kim were a brother-sister duo, this is a heck of a way to find out they're actually a couple (although this music video should probably have clued you in).In classic Matt & Kim fashion, the duo have been self-deprecating about the cover, posting a screen grab to Instagram of a text message that read: "To my family... I am sorry but my boobs are on the Internet today. Good news is they are the same size as when david and I or even Heather and I took baths together so it shouldn't be that weird! Xo."
The nude cover will only be featured on the limited edition vinyl version of the 11-song set — the digital release will feature a more modest cover, while the version on record store shelves will come with a reusable sticker over the topless photo.
Lightning Remixes is out October 1 with remixes by Bonde Do Role, Salva, Amanaguchi, Lazerbeak with Cecil Otter (of Doomtree), and others.
