Singer-songwriter Matt Corby has unveiled the official video for his new track 'No Ordinary Life', the first cut to be released from his upcoming sophomore album 'Rainbow Valley' due in November.
The ‘No Ordinary Life’ video was directed by Matt’s close friend DJ/ VJ Ego, who is best known for his collage and projection work.
The pair came up with the video’s lighting and projection concept to include isolated footage of Matt playing the individual instruments, which were then manipulated with colour and light and projected into the garden of the Rainbow Valley property where the album was written and named.
“I wanted to create something that takes Matt into the 'extra-ordinary'; almost beamed up and into an ether of light, colour and wonder," Ego says of the video. "There is an intimate connection between him and every note that I wanted to show in one time and place.”
With 'Rainbow Valley' released in November, Matt will undertake a UK and European album tour starting at the beginning of next year, he and his band's first run of dates in two years with more shows to be announced soon.
