Matt Corby, joined by Middle Kids, will headline the new Melbourne outdoor concert series Live At The Gardens this spring.
Organised by the same folk behind a day on the green who have partnered with Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne, Live At The Gardens will bring to sonic life the luscious lawns of the Observatory Precinct into a unique outdoor concert space.A soul, R&B, rock, folk singer-songwriter with silky vocals, Matt Corby is a dual ARIA Award winner who boasts such bangers as 'Resolution', 'Talk It Out', 'Miracle Love' and 'Brother'.
Corby's most recent studio album is last year's 'Everything's Fine', a record nominated for Album of the Year at both the ARIA Awards and J Awards that features the singles 'Reelin'' and 'Problems'.
Indie charmers Middle Kids added to their already incredible catalogue (which features such hits as 'Edge Of Town', 'Mistake', 'Stacking Chairs', 'R U 4 Me?' and 'Questions') earlier this year with their third album 'Faith Crisis Pt 1' featuring the singles 'Bootleg Firecracker', 'Highlands' and 'Dramamine'.
"It's our album of petition, painful admission, pessimism, praises, pop-psychology, pity, pleasure, philosophy, patience, peace, and hopefully, permission. We hope it reaches you. It's been a long road and we're just getting started," shares Middle Kids.
The Matt Corby and Middle Kids event is the first with further planned gigs at Live At The Gardens in November followed by more live dates next March.
Tickets on sale from 10am (local time) on 11 June.
